About BMS of NC

BMS of NC is a tax preparation, bookkeeping and company formation firm in North Carolina. We serve individuals and businesses in all 50 states, in English and Spanish, and owners of U.S. companies who live in Latin America, Europe or elsewhere.

Katiuska Bustillos

Founder and tax preparer. She has more than 35 years in taxes and bookkeeping: more than 25 in Venezuela and more than 10 in the United States. That double experience is what the firm is built on: she knows first-hand what it means to comply with two tax systems at once, which is exactly the situation of someone who lives abroad and owns a U.S. LLC.

• BMS of NC is an authorized IRS e-file provider, with an EFIN: we file returns electronically with the IRS.

Editorial policy for our guides

The guides on this site explain U.S. tax obligations in plain language. So you can rely on them:

• Who writes them: Katiuska Bustillos writes or reviews them. Each guide says who reviewed it and when.
• Sources: every fact comes from an official source (the IRS, the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, FinCEN or the relevant authority), linked at the end of each guide.
• Updates: we review them at least once a year before tax season and whenever a rule changes. The “Updated” date only changes when the content does.
• Use of tools: we use artificial intelligence tools to help us research and draft. No guide is published until Katiuska has reviewed and approved it.
• Mistakes: if you see something wrong or outdated, write to info@bmsofnc.com and we will fix it.
• Not individual advice: the guides are general information. Your specific case may have details that change the answer.
